I was introduced to photography while in high school, mostly because of sports. Traveling in the Marine Corp gave me a chance to take pictures around the world. So I purchased my first real camera, a Canon AE-1 with a couple of lenses I found at a pawn shop.  After leaving the service and starting a family,  I really started to enjoy the art of photography. I started coaching high school sports and found I needed to upgrade my equipment to the new line of Canon EOS cameras. I added a couple of more lenses. I really enjoyed taking pictures of my athletes performing. But I guess my “aha!” moment was seeing a large buck on my way home from work one day. So after getting home and grabbing my equipment, I headed for where I thought the buck would be. Seeing him walk up out of the river right at me was special. I was hooked on wildlife photography.
